 | | Why Catholic:
| This faith formation program has been |
| | established at St. Mary’s for the past two years.
Why Catholic? is a journey through the Catechism designed to enable the layperson to learn more about their faith. This is done through small groups reflecting and sharing, praying and taking greater ownership of their faith meeting once a week for two 6-week sessions. (during Advent and Lent respectively) Many Catholics have inherited their faith without knowing why they are Catholic. Why Catholic? invites participants to a mature faith by nourishing and strengthening men and women to learn more about their faith in a relaxed, familiar and comfortable setting where reflection and discussion take place, The sharing enables the participants to take greater ownership of their faith and to move from an inherited faith to a faith of deep conviction.
